Certification and Compliance in Forestry and Agriculture

With the CMO Empower App, we apply the group scheme approach as a framework to effectively implement compliance solutions for smallholders, covering agriculture, forestry as well as agroforestry systems. For these group schemes to be cost-effective, they must be simple, affordable, and scalable at a national level. CMO’s service offering overcomes the long-standing challenge of successfully scaling group schemes within a sustainable agriculture and forest product value chain. In most current certifications, CMO holds the certificates on behalf of its members and maintains oversight of all participants. However, some customers prefer to manage their own group schemes independently, while still benefiting from the simplicity and cost-efficiency of the CMO model.
